Born in Bedgerabong on Wiradjuri land.
I am a contemporary photographic artist whose practice expands beyond traditional photography, embracing historical and experimental processes to explore the intersections of the body, materiality, and transformation. I primarily work with cameraless techniques, manipulating photosensitive materials to create handmade images that blur the boundaries between representation and abstraction. These alchemical processes, often involving chemical painting, photograms, and light-sensitive emulsions, capture traces of touch, movement, and time—imbuing my works with an ephemeral, almost performative quality.
My work is deeply informed by my lived experience as a woman, artist, and mother. Through layered imagery and experimental mark-making, I examine the physical and psychological effects of the body, engaging with themes of embodiment, ritual, and the passage of time. Performance is also central to my practice, not as a direct documentation but as a means of constructing still images that evoke transformation and the unseen forces shaping identity.
My work has been shown in Australia and Internationally, this has included Point North at the Reykjavik Museum of Photography in Iceland; Verge Gallery Sydney; Arts System Wickham and selected as part of the Gaffa Experimental Photo Festival Award Sydney; Other notable exhibitions include Embody at Cement Fondu Sydney; Light Objects – Photography in the Expanded Field at Perth Centre of Photography and The Bus Stop Project at Maitland Regional Art Gallery
